CHESTER TWP. – New Jersey Conservation Foundation will offer an outdoor yoga session in the beautiful gardens of the Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center on Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Kathleen Thayne, a certified yoga instructor, will lead the group through meditative and body strengthening exercises. The class is geared toward beginners who would like to learn more about the practice of yoga, but it can also be enjoyed by those with more experience.
Advance registration is required by emailing Carol Banhart at firstname.lastname@example.org calling 908-234-1225. A donation of $5 per person is requested.
Those attending the class are asked to bring a yoga mat, wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to be barefoot. In the event of rain, the yoga class will be moved indoors.
The Bamboo Brook Outdoor Education Center is located at 170 Longview Road in Chester Township and is part of the Morris County Park System. The historic gardens surrounding the main building, where New Jersey Conservation Foundation’s main office is located, were recently restored.
