The Honorable Maureen Ogden (Former New Jersey General Assemblywoman,

Michele S. Byers, Executive Director, New Jersey Conservation Foundation

With the nation's environmental protections under attack, former N.J. governors Brendan Byrne, Tom Kean, Jim Florio and Christie Whitman, joined by former Congressman Rush Holt and former Assemblywoman Maureen Ogden, have called on the state's congressional delegation to commit to a set of principles that will prevent six decades of environmental protection, commitment and voter-approved public funding from being undermined by federal decisions.

We know that our current congressional representatives play a crucial role in standing up for New Jersey's values and we want them all - regardless of party - to represent the environmental concerns shared by all New Jerseyans. That is why they have signed onto a set of strong environmental principles and they are encouraging NJ's current congressional delegation to do the right thing and embrace these principles.
