A free educational forum on the Garden State Preservation Trust

WHERE:  Trenton Masonic Temple 100 Barracks Street Trenton, NJ  

WHAT:  State and local government officials, and non-profit, business and community leaders will discuss the accomplishments, benefits and future needs for open space, farmland and historic preservation programs in New Jersey.  

WHO: Keynote speakers are:

  • Gov. Jon Corzine (invited)
  • Tom Gilmore, President, New Jersey Audubon Society
  • Joseph N. DiVencenzo Jr., Essex County Executive
  • Douglas H. Palmer, mayor of Trenton
  • Jose Torres, Mayor of Paterson
  • Maureen B. Ogden, former state Assembly member.

WHY: The Garden State Preservation Trust, which funds New Jersey's open space, farmland and historic preservation, is depleted and needs a new infusion of funding if these popular programs are to continue.
